Political controversy for Suriya's TSK?

Last year, Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal had a free publicity because of BJP’s strong opposition against the film's dialogues criticizing the Modi Government’s GST and Digital India strategy.

On Friday, an ADMK party member filed a complaint against Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam team at Chennai Police Commissioner office for using lyrics ('Adhigaara Thimira, Panakkara powerah… Verati Verati Velluka Thonuthu' portion in the Sodakku Song) diminishing the image of ruling Government and politicians.

RJ Balaji, who plays a cameo in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam took to Twitter to say that the opposition of ADMK Government will only make them as a media partner for the film. “Respected Media partner, Thanks but no thanks.TSK has a marketing budget for the promotions. But there are too many issues out three.People are unable to commute.Kindly do something about it. Instead of doing this, ask ur party-men to at least offer lift to people who are stranded”, tweeted RJ Balaji.

Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is slated to release on January 12.
