In a recent media interaction, ‘Dil’ Raju confirmed that he will not be producing Indian 2 with director Shankar and Kamal Haasan. The latest buzz is that AR Rahman will not be composing the music for Indian-2 as his hands are full with multiple projects including Mani Ratnam and AR Murugadoss’ next.
Sources say that Shankar has met up with the young sensation Anirudh and locked his dates. This seems to be the answer on why he opted out of AR Murugadoss' Vijay film and Siva's Ajith film!
Instead of ‘Dil’ Raju, Lyca Productions are showing interest in producing Indian-2. “Things will be confirmed only after Kamal Haasan returns back from Los Angeles where the actor was busy with the final mix of Vishwaroopam 2. T Muthuraj is likely to the production designer of the film, which will go on floors from April/May 2018”, said a source close to the team.
Another serious hurdle for Shankar and Kamal is AM Ratnam, the original producer of Indian who wants a huge royalty to give away the franchise rights.
